The Vijitt Resort, Phuket

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

Having visited Phuket many times, I wanted to explore a new area so my research brought me to the south easterly tip of the island to a beautiful beach front resort called The Vijitt near Rawaii Beach.

After a long night and day travelling, we arrived at The Vijitt in the evening and were greeted by the warmest welcome. Check in was a very relaxing process during which you are adorned with fresh flower bracelets and treated to cold towels and a welcome drink before quickly being brought to your villa by shuttle.

All of the rooms are elegant villas set amongst lush tropical landscaped grounds so exploring the resort is very much a treat! Our villa was beautifully appointed. A large four poster bed swathed in beautiful muslin, a massive marble bathroom with the most exquisite bath which boasts a floor to ceiling open air window looking out onto your own private terrace and pool. Our private patio and pool had stunning views of Chalong Bay and I very much enjoyed the incredible sunsets and sunrises over the nearby islands. The bathroom also features a beautiful outdoor rainforest shower which also overlooks the pool.

Dining options at the resort are varied and offer a wide range of delicious Western and Thai cuisine at Savoury restaurant and a beautiful specialty Thai restaurant. Breakfast was served at Savoury Restaurant overlooking the inifinity pool and was a plentiful buffet featuring fresh Asian soups, made to order eggs, exotic fruits and hot and cold dishes. A personal highlight was the beautiful floating breakfast set up in our private pool, sheer indulgence!

The resort offered complimentary shuttles to several locations which was extremely convenient and perfect for those who like to explore. We availed of the shuttle to visit Nai Harn Beach which is one of the most stunning beaches I have ever laid eyes on- an absolute must! We also used the Shuttle to venture down to the local town of Rawai to sample some of the restaurants.

Most of our time at The Vijitt was spent lounging at the resort's stunning infinity pool overlooking Friendship beach. Watching parasailers tackle the impressive waves while sipping Pina Colada's between dips in the pool was complete bliss.

The team at The Vijitt Resort are absolutely wonderful. Every single person that I met from Jack the General manager, to Tonwaan, the Marketing manager, Nat, at reception and Maria and Jam who ensured our every whim was catered for at Savoury restaurant elevated our stay and ensured that we felt incredibly welcome.

We had a wonderful time and would very much recommend the resort to anyone as they cater for every age group. Those with families can spend time in The Rotunda within the resort which is home to a large kids play area and shallow shaded pool. Equally, honeymooners will be treated to luxurious tranquility, incredible service, delicious food and much needed privacy at their own private villa.
