I'd like to introduce you to my favourite restaurant in London; Hakkasan. I absolutely adore this place for it's amazing food, delicious cocktails, awesome atmosphere and all the incredible memories that I have made there with family and friends over the years. It just feels so special!

Hakkasan is an Asian fusion restaurant with 2 locations in London; Mayfair and Hanway Place, both of which are equally wonderful. If you are new to the Hakkasan experience I would highly recommend that your first experience is at their brunch on Saturday which runs up till 5pm and offers great value compared to ordering a la carte.

The weekend set brunch offers 3 options all of which involve the same decadent four course meal (Vegan option available). The difference is in what you wish to drink with your meal. Choose from 'The Classic' at £50 per person and your meal is accompanied by an Aperitif cocktail and some chinese tea, 'The Character' at £55 per person includes an Aperetif cocktail, a half bottle of wine and a digestif cocktail and 'The Signature' at £62 per person includes 2 cocktails and a half bottle of champagne.

Well I am very much a champagne girl so I had to opt for 'The Signature' on each occassion! I would recommend arriving 15 minutes earlier than your booking which will allow you to enjoy your Aperitif cocktail at the bar area which is a highlight of the restaurant. After your cocktail you will be brought to your table and served your first course of Crispy Duck Salad, believe me when I say that this dish is nothing short of heavenly! This is followed by a selction of their famous dim sum, the best I have ever eaten including the time I spent in Hong Kong.

The main course consists of Stir Fry black pepper rib eye beef with Merlot and Spicy King prawn with lily bub and almond. These dishes are served with Spring onion and egg fried rice and a side of vegetables. The beauty of this brunch is that having eaten in the restaurant outside of brunch time, I would order exactly the same options as are served at the brunch because they truly are their star dishes but you benefit from enjoying them at half the price.

Dinner was polished off with the chocolate clay pot which makes my heart sing! Perfection for a chocoholic like myself!

The champagne served with your meal is Louis Roederer and is served ice cold. After dessert I like to go back to the bar for the second cocktail so I would recommend booking the last brunch seating of the day so that you can watch the restaurant come alive for the evening. An incredibly special experience.
